Overview

abstract

  • The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) is a set of powerful computer adaptive patient-reported outcome tools that have the ability to evaluate physical, mental, and social health measures in adults and children. It has recently been implemented for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, but the psychometric properties of the scores in the setting of orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy are incompletely explored. Determining normative data and responsiveness in cohorts of interest is vital if these measures are to be used to track patient-reported outcomes postoperatively.
