abstract

  • Total pelvic exenteration can be performed safely in highly selected patients with colorectal cancer and can result in significantly prolonged survival. Less satisfactory outcomes are observed in patients whose indication for pelvic exenteration is recurrent colorectal cancer after abdominoperineal resection.
