abstract

  • Tat protein significantly decreased endothelium-dependent vasorelaxation and eNOS mRNA and protein expression in endothelial cells of porcine coronary arteries. This study suggests that Tat protein-mediated endothelial dysfunction may be important in coronary heart disease in HIV-infected patients.
