abstract

  • Since idiopathic neurtropenia involves primarily the neutrophil granulocyte series, we undertook a study of the in vitro and in vivo effects of recombinant human G-CSF in a patiens with this disorder. Therapy has resulted in normalization of the patient's absolute neutrophil count, with the presence of functional cells, healing of chronic oral ulcerations, discontinuation of a prophylactic antibiotic without recurrent infection, and minimal side effects.
