abstract

  • The success of chemotherapeutic agents in combination against lymphoproliferative malignancies has prompted the study of drug combinations for the treatment of brain tumors. Iv methyl CCNU and VM 26 have demonstrated individual activity against malignant cerebral neoplasms, with each agent inducing acceptable systemic toxicity. This paper reports the results of a phase II trial of iv methyl CCNU and VM 26 in combination against 22 primary CNS glial tumors.
