  • Obtaining the urinary temperature is a simple, noninvasive and useful clinical tool in the early diagnosis of factitious fever due to thermometer manipulation. One should probably check all three temperatures, oral, rectal and urinary, although it is usually the oral temperature that is being manipulated.
