Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Serological typing of lymphocyte alloantigens in rhesus monkey families was compared with reactions in mixed lymphocyte culture. The finding that one of two RhL A genotypically identical siblings showed stimulation in mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) suggests that the major histocompatibility locus in the rhesus monkey is not the sole determinant of reactivity in MLC. The possibility is raised that two or more independently segregating loci constitute the genetic control of MLC.
