abstract

  • A patient with polycystic kidney disease, secondary hyperparathyroidism, and relative hypercalcemia developed severe symptomatic hypocalcemia following bilateral nephrectomy. Acute depletion of 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol is proposed as a possible cause of the hypocalcemia. © 1973.
