Victor Brodsky, MD is the Medical Director of Informatics and Assistant Professor in the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Assistant Professor of Public Health at Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to the current position, Dr. Brodsky was the first Pathology Informatics Fellow in Massachusetts General Hospital, the affiliate hospital of the Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. Brodsky has received his undergraduate and medical degrees by completing the combined seven year medical program at Boston University and Boston University School of Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Brodsky is currently the co-Chair of Health Level 7 (HL7) Anatomic Pathology Working Group, focusing on standardizing the pathology report in collaboration with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE). Additionally, Dr. Brodsky is serving as a liaison to HL7 from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), representing the Diagnostic Intelligence and Health Information Technology (DIHIT) committee of the college. Dr. Brodsky has also been involved with the Work Group 26 of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) since its inception in 2005, working to create digital imaging standards for pathology.
Dr. Brodsky's interests include medical and pathology informatics, image analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, and workflow optimization.
