Usama Gergis   Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine

During his time as Bone Marrow Transplant Fellow at the University of South Florida, Lee Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute, Dr. Gergis was involved in two research projects. The first was an evaluation of the effect on one-year non-relapsed mortality of day 90 post-transplant clinico-pharmacologic parameters in patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The second is a retrospective analysis evaluating the incidence of invasive fungal infections in recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic cells. Currently, at Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Gergis performs clinical and translational research devoted to leukemia, myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative syndromes.
