Clinical trials management system reporting. As part of Weill Cornell Medical College's implementation of a computerized clinical trials management system (CTMS), I am working with stakeholders from administration, clinical departments, and Information Technologies and Services to develop new functionality for reporting clinical trials activity from the study to the college-level. This work is part of a larger effort to streamline the management of electronic data for conducting clinical and translational research.

Health Information Technology Evaluation Collaborative (HITEC). HITEC is a multi-institution consortium charged with evaluating New York State's investment in health information technology. My research focuses on understanding usage of computer systems for health information exchange (HIE), the electronic transfer of patient data across healthcare organizations, in multiple geographically distinct communities. This work involves quantitative analysis of HIE system log files and related data. My research also addresses the organizational and social factors affecting implementation of electronic health record (EHR) and HIE systems using survey and interview data.

Unique device identification (UDI) in electronic health records. This project involves developing a roadmap for representing medical devices in electronic health record systems. The goal is to facilitate tracking of medical devices across the lifespan of patients and devices.
