Ethics in obstetrics and gynecology

Ethics is an essential component of obstetrics and gynecology. Our research advances knowledge and improves clinical practice in this emerging fields of importance to women and their families, physicians, and society. Projects presently being conducted include:

  1. development of preventive ethics strategies for obstetric and gynecologic practice
  2. application of the ethical concept of the fetus as patient to maternal-fetal medicine
  3. exploring the ethical implication of new reproductive technologies
  4. resolving ethical conflicts between physicians and patients in obstetrics and gynecology
  5. exploring the clinical implications of the ethical concept of professional integrity
